Sec Napolitano Cracks Down on Conservatives
Republicans take to the floor to call to question the recent Homeland Security department memo referring to conservatives as "right-wing extremists" who pose a potential threat to the security of the nation. Rep. Michele Bachmann urges her to answer questions before Congress and potentially tender her resignation.
Pelosi Says TEA Parties Not Grassroots - Sign This Petition
We now have a national petition confronting Nancy Pelosi's misinformation on the Tea Party Movement. It only takes a moment. Please sign and tell everyone you know, especially if you are an organizer. And organizers, please keep your receipts. We don't expect a response, but we expect to take our case to Fox News when Pelosi ignores us.

Arlington Tea Party Afterglow - What's Next?
We came together and shared a uniquely American right, specifically protected by our Constitution, to peaceably assemble and speak freely about what is on our hearts and minds. Young men and women have given their lives to protect our right to have a Tea Party, to speak out against government waste, and to speak in support of our families and our freedoms. We do not take this right lightly.
When we elect representatives, we are, in effect, hiring individuals to do a job. Small business owners would never succeed if they hired employees and never held them accountable for their actions – or if those employees were allowed to begin confiscating the profits of the small business to line their own pockets or to pay for pet projects. This is exactly what is happening. We have a responsibility to hold our employees in Washington accountable. This is why we’re speaking out.
For those of you who do have access to the Fox News Channel, you may have seen Glenn Beck and Ted Nugent standing in front of the Alamo in San Antonio. A history teacher stood with them and explained that 189 citizens said “no” to tyranny and gave their lives at the Alamo in 1836. They literally drew a line in the sand and took a stand.
So – what can we do now to honor the memories of all the patriots who have gone before us? Obviously – we need to stay focused on the 2010 elections so we can turn the tide. We must educate ourselves about processes and ensure our voices our heard. Since there is precious little information available via the mainstream media, some great websites include:
• the American Family Association www.afa.net
• CNS News www.cnsnews.com
• the 912 Project www.the912project.com
In the short term, several projects and events for the Arlington Tea Party Patriots are being developed behind the scenes – so please check the website often for updates and more information – and please bear with us as we get organized. Share the web address to this page with everyone you know, often. We are currently researching hot topics, upcoming legislation on the state and national level, and other points of interest – and we’re all looking forward to growing, making a difference, and reclaiming our rights that are being eroded.
Thank you for your participation and your support. Thank you for loving America and what she stands for. We have taken the first few baby steps, but we’ll soon be running a marathon that will lead us to the steps of the capitol building in Washington, D.C. May God continue to bless you and the United States of America.

Congressman Joe Barton Confirmed!

Conduct Reminders
We want to have a Peaceful, Enjoyable, and Successful demonstration. The Arlington Police Department has been wonderful in the way they have worked with us and will have officers watching over our demonstration to help us keep it peaceful. Please be as fully cooperative with them as they have been with us.
Parking: There is ample parking at River Legacy Park for this event. The parking lot near the pavilion can easily hold 200 or so vehicles, however, if this parking lot becomes full you may need to use one of the other parking lots.
Violence. Remember we are concerned citizens using the freedoms secured by our nations founders and declared in the Bill of Rights to petition our government. Any who advocate, in general, any act of violence or other active civil disobedience will be told to leave our reserved area and if necessary, will be reported to the Police as appropriate.
Be Polite: We will not use profanity in our speeches, on our signs, or to any members of the press who might be present. While we will raise our voices with spirit when appropriate, we will conduct ourselves respectfully toward others even if they don't agree with us.
Good Citizens: We will be courteous and helpful to our fellow citizens. Should we see someone in need, whether they need a place to sit, medical attention, or just a friendly smile, we will ensure their needs are met in the best tradition of the American spirit. When we are done, we will all help ensure our Tea Party location is clean and ready for whomever should use it next.
Speakers: We will have an open platform for those that wish to speak. Please keep speeches brief in consideration for others and please stick to the topics appropriate to our cause. Anyone giving a speech that is not appropriate and respectful will be asked to leave the platform.
Thanks again and lets have a great Tea Party!
Slogan Suggestions & Tips for Signs
Sign Making Tips - Taken from taxpartyday.com
**Choose large pieces of white poster board or foam board. Colored pieces make text harder to read.
**Try to stick to short phrases.
**Make sure the letters are large enough to read, your text should use the entire space.
**Using dark, broad-tipped markers, write your slogan in broad letters.
**Underline, bold, or use another color for words you want to stand out.
**Sometimes, if there is a picture or image that helps your argument, you can use it on your sign. Just make sure it is large enough to see from a distance and fairly simple so that it doesn’t obscure your words. But don’t spend a lot of time worrying about it – the words are the most important thing.
**Make sure that every sign has the name and website of your Tea Party. http://arlingtonteaparty.blogspot.com
Have fun and be creative.

River Legacy Park Location Confirmed
The demonstration will take place on the sidewalks at Green Oaks and Cooper. This is a high traffic area and will draw attention. The pavilion will be used for speakers. The parks required the rental of the pavilion when using amplification as we are and that equipment must be used at the pavilion.
If you're planning on grabbing a bite to eat before or after the demonstration, stop by Southern Recipes Grill on Collins to thank them for their support of our cause.
Help us get the word out and thanks for making this a great Tea Party!

Location Change - UPDATE
UPDATE: We have just been informed that Fielder Road Baptist Church is not able to offer their property for this Tea Party. They're attorneys have advised them that they can't use their property.
We are going back to our original plan to have this at Southern Recipes Grill on Collins. We park in their parking lot behind the restaurant. There are also empty parking lots in the area where businesses are out of business. Be sure to be considerate of the operating businesses in the area not to park where it would interfere with their operations.
We can use the back patio of the restaurant and hold the demonstration on the sidewalks. This is a great high traffic area.
We are still looking into the possibility of Legacy Park but nothing is arranged yet. We are setting up a donate button to help with the permit costs and asking if anyone can help with this cost to please donate for this.
This is going to be a great Tea Party! Keep checking this site for updated information.
*******
We are growing!! We have grown enough that we have needed to find and secure a larger location for our Tea Party. We want to thank Fielder Road Baptist Church for allowing us to use their property for our demonstration. They have a very large parking lot that will accomodate the parking and the demonstration.
We also want to thank all of you who are stepping up to the plate to help make this a great demonstration.
Scott Morris with Maren Karsen Aveda Salon for providing the use of a PA System.
HelpRescueAmerica.com for donating two large Declaration of Liberty flags.
Matt Foster with the UTA College Republicans for agreeing to be spokesperson and his many other efforts; preparing press releases, distributing flyers, working to get a great speaker, and arranging to video the demonstration.
All of you who are making signs, getting the word out, and showing up!Please check back for more details as this comes together!
